All over the world stakeholders in healthcare industry have been struggling with financial and economical bottlenecks making a more cost-efficient approach essential.

By taking advantage of new technologies and possible shifts of medical skills to other qualified professionals, it is possible to optimize healthcare delivery by enhancing the quality of care, keeping care affordable and maintaining quality of life for all patients

Focusing on the goal to offer patients a true balance in their care and consequently in their quality of life, BHCT has developed a model which easily adapts to the needs and challenges stakeholders are facing in the healthcare industry.

BHCT describes a bottom up model where a healthcare management system is defined and organized by pathology and based on medical, quality of life & financial issues for the patient.

BHCT’s model is based on a triple axe

Diagnosis initiated

Each care process starts with necessarily with a diagnosis.

As soon as the patient has received a diagnosis, he will make decisions taking into account quality of care, quality of life and financial affordability.

The respective importance of each criteria is determined by the nature of the pathology and may change during the course of the treatment.

Patient Driven

BHCT promotes a model where patient are seen as equal partners in care and able to make informed and balanced decisions including the decision to trust the other stakeholders.

In the near future, patients will take more responsibility and become accountable for their behavior in their care process. Therefore they need access to understandable & intelligible information & b actively involved.

Care Centered

Stakeholders are focused on their added value in the care process to achieve the best possible outcomes in health, quality of life & cost.

To implement BHCT’s model, integrated care processes are used.

BHCT’s methodology is based on the identification of clinical leaders in charge of a complete project management around a integrated care process per pathology.

The clinical leaders will be asked to draw the flowchart of the medical care before it is completed by a comfort offer and budgeted with the needed support.

BHCT believes that the strength of a balanced care process is the right sequence between evidence based practice, well-being conditions and value for money.
